Over the past week, members of the access2innovation secretariat have been visiting the University of California in Davis and meeting with representatives from MIT in Massachusetts.
The purpose was to explore educational programs aimed at developing countries.
Both UC Davis and MIT have implemented the so-called D-lab (Dialogue, Design and Dissemination) – a concept aimed specifically at technology innovation and developing countries.
Access2innovation and Aalborg University are currently investigating ways of adopting the concept into a Danish academic context.
Later this year, UC Davis and MIT will be visiting Aalborg University to participate in testing a beta-version of a Danish D-lab and to and to learn more about Aalborg University’s Problem Based and Team Based learning concept.
Learn more about the D-lab concept at MIT's D-lab site.
