More than 40 participants took part of the access2innovation workshop for sustainable energy solutions in Tanzania last Friday.
40 participants from 30 different organizations, institutions or companies took part in the access2innovation workshop at NOVI in Aalborg on Friday, January 27th. The workshop focused on the development of sustainable energy solutions in Tanzania.
The workshop featured a series of presentations of challenges and needs and ended up with group discussions between the participants.
The main points from the workshop were:
- 120 % price increase expectation on electricity in 2012
- Huge demand for alternative energy in Tanzania
- Companies are invited to take part in a delegation trip to Tanzania
The main participating NGO, MS ActionAid’s Training Center in Arusha will form the test site for a travel delegation later this year.
A follow-up workshop will be held in the middle of February 2012, focusing on innovative solutions to meet the sustainable energy need on the Tanzanian market.
