Investor delegation trip to East Africa

access2innovation and DanBAN invites private and institutional investors and foundations to join the exclusive investors delegation trip to Kenya from April 24th to 27th / 28th 2018.

Programme:
Wednesday April 25th

10.00 – 11.30:    Visit Unumed: Introduction to Kenya and presentation of company (Access2Innovation)
12.00 – 13.00:    Lunch
13.30 – 15.00:    Visit Branch, A Silicon Valley startup that came to Kenya with 10m USD backing (DanBAN)
17.00 – 20.00:    Visit Nairobi Garage – Meeting with the startup Mdundo + pitch event with 10 Kenyan / East African startups together with African Business Angel Network (DanBAN)

Thursday April 26th
09.30 – 11.30:    Visit OkHi, introduction to the company and the OkHi app (access2innovation)
12.00 – 13.00:    Lunch
13.30 – 15.00:    Visit Kenyan Climate Innovation Centre and talk by Edward Mungai, CEO of KCIC. He will share his views on the business incubator environment in Kenya and talk about what to look out for, when considering investing in startups in East Africa (access2innovation)
15.30 – 17.00:    Afternoon visit to one of the larger VCs, which operate out of Kenya (DanBAN)
19.00:    Dinner at Carnivore Restaurant (access2innovation)

Friday April 27th
08.30 – 10.00:    Visit iHub – Meeting with the startup Sky.Garden + pitch event with 4-5 Kenyan / East African startups (DanBAN)
10.30 – 12.00:    Meet with Humphrey Wattanga: Architect behind M-Akiba bond. How startups may tap into the trading platform at the stock exchanges (DanBAN)
12.00 – 13.00:    Lunch (together with H. Wattanga)
15.00 – 17.00:    Visit headquarters of SolarKiosk, a German based company investing in rural energy hubs. SolarKiosk brings renewably energy to rural areas, but their business strategy includes sales and marketing of household commodities to rural communities, and also to introduce applicable technologies within agribusiness, water & sanitation and ICT (access2innovation)
19.00:    Dinner

Saturday April 28th (Optional)
09.30 – 11.00:    Free time
11.30 – 18.00:    Lunch and visit to Nairobi National Park and Karen Blixen Farm (access2innovation)
18.30:    Dinner
20.30:    Head to airport and departure to Denmark

Participation fee (expected):
9.500,- DKK (incl. accomodation, local ransportation, meals and drinks.) Participants are expected to book their own flights, but we are happy to assist in any way possible.

Saturday is optional. If you wish to return on Friday, the fee is 1.500,- DKK less. If participants wish to extend their stay and need recommendations for transportation, tour guides, resorts etc, we DanBAN and access2innovation has access to a large local network.
