Business potential within East Africa’s long-term economic and energy ambitionsOrganized by: House of Energy & access2innovation

East Africa is home to some of the World’s fastest growing markets – with Kenya and Tanzania leading the way with growth rates of 5-6 per cent (GDP Real Growth Rate) pr. year.
The growth is pushing local energy capacities to its limits. Most East African countries have ambitious energy plans that aims at increasing current energy generation and efficiency. This requires technologies and knowhow within:
- Renewable energy solutions for both primary agriculture as well as food processing.
- Energy solutions, e.g., distribution, transmission, production, back-up systems.
- Water production, cleaning, purification as well as wastewater treatment.
- Utilisation of waste products (biogas, briquetting, water etc.).
- Optimising energy consuming processes, i.e. insulation
Danish private sector hold the needed solutions for alle the challenges listed above.
On April 4th 2019, House of Energy and access2innovation invite Danish companies to explore the East African energy markets. At the seminar you will be introduced to the recent publication of our East Africa Energy Market Study, case studies from Danish companies already engaged in the market along with a brief overview of an upcoming Danida delegation trip on May 6th-11th.
