Partnerships, Sustainability and BoP Markets.
Bringing Research into Play
Since 2007, access2innovation has been working to bring NGOs, businesses, public institutions and academia into new partnerships to form innovative market-based sustainable solutions that meet the needs of developing countries.
This work has resulted in over 60 partnerships and despite being able to showcase a successful portfolio of partnerships, finding from access2innovation suggest that reaching BoP opportunities is still very problematic. Companies and NGOs are struggling to develop, test and scale the partnerships and the agenda lacks research-based knowledge on about on what needed to bring more partnerships to BoP markets.
